2013 Christmas Embrace - Children's Advocacy Center

Our hearts were touched by the needs of the Children's Advocacy Center, a non-profit organization that provides forensic investigations of abused children. With the advent of social media, selfies, and electronic access to pornography - kids are becoming more and more victimized through sex trade, child pornography, rape, abuse, observers of violent crimes against a family member, or drug raids. This increase in internet predation has caused the South Plains area to experienced a tremendous rise in crimes against children in the 12-18 year old range. Ms. Michelle Curran and Mr. Jarrod Redwine of V-tech met with Ms. Carmen Aguirre, Executive Director to determine the needs of the Children's Advocacy Center. They were able to get a grasp of the Agency's needs in an effort to determine how we could participate. CAC’s staff requested blankets and books for teenagers. V-tech purchased a series of teenage appropriate books and polar fleece blankets in support of forty (40) kids. Children's Advocacy Center serves over 700 children a year and we were grateful to be able to support the growing needs in the 12-18 year old range. Carmen and staff give to these kids every day. Thank you for your strength and faith.

We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. For even Christ did not please himself. Romans 15:1-7
